In 1965, Brother Jolly and I were invited to come to Tuscaloosa, Alabama to speak at a local church.  After this meeting we worked as evangelists at several different local churches holding services.  They all proved to be successful.

Later while preaching in Mississippi, the Spirit of the Lord spoke and said, “Go to Tuscaloosa and build a church.”  There are people who need a church they can call home. We began preaching at a building in eastern Tuscaloosa. In August 1967, we moved to Northport.  We rented a small building on Park Street.  It was there where we spent time with the Lord in all night prayer meetings.  The Spirit of the Lord spoke again and said, “This is not the place.”  So we began looking for a place to build a church. In November 1967, we purchased the property on the corner of 10th Street and 26th Avenue. This property already had a house on it. With the help of the people of the church, we remodeled the inside. Services started in January 1968.  God moved so mightily. Many were falling out in the Spirit…souls were saved.  One elderly lady saw Jesus in the sky over the church. We know that the scriptures state that there will be signs. (Acts 2:19)

The dedications service for our new auditorium was on September 27, 1969.  Later the Sunday school rooms were added, then the fellowship hall.  In 1998 we built on a nursery and another room for Sunday school.  In the summer 2002 the main auditorium was bricked covering the old concrete blocks and we completed a baptistery at the back of the church just off the stage.  In the future, we hope to buy property to build a new Facility at another location.

We are expecting a great and mighty move of God.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE!
